Salary Range:

$55,000.00 - $64,500.00 USD annually.

The Academic Operations Manager will play a critical role in supporting academic compliance and operational excellence across all Arizona campus sites. This position is responsible for coordinating with the Grants team to ensure full compliance and effective implementation of academic entitlement and legislative grants (e.g., Title I, MOWR). The Academic Operations Manager will also serve as a key partner to the Director of Assessment and Accountability in the administration and support of all statewide testing and academic accountability measures. Additionally, this role will coordinate English Language Learner (ELL) compliance, including the full AZELLA testing cycle. This is a cross-functional role that supports the successful execution of academic initiatives, ensures compliance with state and federal regulations, and promotes effective site-level coordination and communication.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education, required. Master’s degree, preferred.

  • State of Arizona Teaching Certificate, required.

  • 3 years of direct instructional experience, required.

  • 1-2 years of experience managing educational programs, grants, or similar projects.

  • Experience with academic data systems such as Infinite Campus, Canvas, DIBELS, and/or Navvy.

  • Active AZ Department of Public Safety (DPS) IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.

  • Any equivalent combination of experience, training and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities may be considered. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with the Grants team to ensure compliance with academic entitlement grants (e.g., Title I, CNA and IAP’s) and legislative grants (e.g., MOWR)

  • Work with school sites to complete Comprehensive Needs Assessment (CNA) and Integrated Action Plans (IAP) annually and review regularly.

  • Work with school sites to complete MOWR submissions and ensure compliance. 

  • Support school sites with implementation, documentation, and monitoring throughout the full grant lifecycle

  • Assist with grant reporting, data collection, and audit preparedness as needed

  • Support the Director of Assessment and Accountability in planning, organizing, and executing all statewide testing (e.g., AASA, ACT, AzSCI, ACT Aspire)

  • Provide site-level assistance to ensure successful and compliant test administration

  • Help track and monitor accountability metrics in coordination with the Assessment and Accountability team

  • Assist with the coordination of all AZELLA testing windows (Placement and Reassessment)

  • Ensure timely and accurate communication and compliance with all English Learner requirements as directed

  • Support training and support to site-based staff responsible for EL compliance and testing

  • Serve as a liaison between campus sites and academic support departments for program implementation and operational alignment

  • Assist with academic data analysis and reporting to inform instructional planning and decision-making

  • Participate in other academic or operational initiatives as assigned by network leadership

  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities 

  • Proficiency with technology, computers, Microsoft Office Suite, and experience with Infinite Campus

  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work under time sensitive deadlines

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Demonstrates a strong work ethic and a sense of urgency

  • Ability to work under pressure and tight timetables

  • Ability to self-manage in a highly professional work environment, which requires interfacing with constituencies at the network and school levels

TRAVEL: 

Occasional travel may be required for site visits, meetings, trainings and/or conferences. Locations may vary and may require overnight stays.
