Job Description:
DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS
This is a lead, skilled technical classification responsible for troubleshooting computer issues and completing application/hardware project-based work. Responsible for providing help desk and onsite support to staff.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
The following are intended to describe core work functions of this classification. While the level and broad nature of essential duties may not change, specific work tasks will vary over time depending on the District’s needs.
* In-person attendance is an essential function of this classification.
• Provides help desk support via phone, remote services and local on-site troubleshooting
and repair;
• Installs, configures, upgrades, and maintains computers, monitors, and peripherals;
• Oversees the design, implementation, and daily operations of the network infrastructure;
• Leads development and implementation processes for the organization IT systems and
department;
• Maintains the telecommunication systems, servers, storage systems and security systems;
• Sets-up and trouble-shoot equipment; and,
• Performs related work as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE
• Broad array of networking and systems hardware and software.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
SKILLS
• Communicating well both verbally and in writing.
• Performing basic analytical and management skills.
• Understanding of IT and practical applications to support the company’s goals.
• Utilizing communication and interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisors, the general public and others to sufficiently exchange or convey information and to receive work direction.
Education and Experience:
Associate's degree in computer science, information technology or related field and two
years of experience; or an equivalent combination of directly-related education and
experience.
Required Certifications/Licenses:
• Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card (FPCC).
• CompTIA A+ Certification.
• Apple Certified Maintenance Technician or Apple Certified Service Technician.
• Comp TIA N+ Network Technician Certification.
