Job Description:
High School History Teacher - James Madison Preparatory School
(www.madisonprep.org) seeks an English teacher for the school year 2025-2026 to
serve grade 9. This position is focused on History, although exact teaching
assignments will be made based on the skills, interests, and aptitudes of existing and
new-hire teachers.
Teacher responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Teachers must be prepared to facilitate student's growth as they develop the knowledge and skills needed for student success in our traditional and challenging college prepcurriculum. The teacher will be required to teach a class of approximately 15-20 students for 1-2 class periods per school day with the remaining periods assigned based on classes offered. Other teaching opportunities could be available depending on the teacher's aptitude and ability.
Teachers must be able to pass background screening, possess a current fingerprint
card, and meet or exceed Arizona and federal Highly Qualified teaching requirements
for the position. Although an AZ teacher certification is not required, a bachelor's degree is required. James Madison Preparatory School, Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit charter
