Job Description:

Seeking a Second Grade teacher that will provide support to the instructional process with specific responsibility for supervising students within the classroom and other assigned areas. This includes developing lesson plans and delivering group and/or individual student instruction within established curriculum guidelines, collaborating with other teachers, other professional staff, and administrators in addressing instructional and/or classroom issues. Evaluate student learning and communicate progress to students, parents, and other stakeholders. 

This is a full-time position with benefits. The Kirkland Elementary School District operates on a 4-day workweek (Monday-Thursday), with some friday professional development days.

The starting salary is $39,006.80 -  (dependent on education and experience). Performance-based pay will be added to the approved salary. 

Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree or more advanced degree from an accredited institution.
• Valid Arizona Teacher Certificate.
• Identity Verified Print (IVP) fingerprint clearance card through Arizona Department of Public Safety, or able to obtain prior to start date.
• SEI, ESL, or Bilingual endorsement issued by Arizona Department of Education.
