Job Description:
The Behavior Intervention Specialistis responsible for recommending, developing and implementing behavior strategies for students to classroom teachers. The specialist participates in Individualized Education Program, Program development, consults with, and acts as a resource to, general and special education staff recommending strategies and classroom modifications. Focused work on conducting functional behavioral assessments that help drive the development of behavior intervention plans is a priority of this role. Currently there is an opening for a BIS at Desiderata, the district’s state approved public special education day program.
