Job Summary

Scottsdale Community College (SCC) is seeking a Fiscal Technician. This position performs a variety of fiscal record keeping transactions, data entry, assists with accounts payable, and mail dissemination. Provides customer service support to vendors, faculty, and staff regarding purchasing and fiscal matters. This position requires a physical presence on campus with possible partial remote work depending on business needs to best serve the students, department, and college.

Essential Functions

30% Assists with Accounts Payable related issues and provides vendor support

30% Prepares journal entries and budget entries; reviews forms for completeness

20% Maintains the Certificate of Insurance Database; provides clerical support as assigned

10% Creates and maintains reports

10% Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma

OR

GED and one year of related fiscal support experience.

There is no substitution or equivalency allowable for the High School Diploma or GED.

OR

An equivalent combination of the conferred degree and directly related full-time work experience as described above sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation, may be considered.

Desired Qualifications

A. Associate's Degree in related field, such as business or accounting.

B. Two (2) or more years of experience providing customer service in higher education

C. One (1) or more years of experience with Oracle PeopleSoft applications such as Financial Management System

D. Proficient experience using Microsoft Excel and Word

Special Working Conditions

• Travel to campus during the interview/selection process will be at the candidate's own expense.

• May be required to work evenings and weekends.

• May require prolonged periods of sitting and viewing a computer screen.

• May be required to lift or carry up to 25 lbs.

• This position requires a physical presence on campus with possible partial remote work depending on business needs to best serve the students, department, and college.

• Will be required to work in an area of light to moderate noise levels daily.
