Job Description:

Minimum physical demands to meet essential functions:

  • Frequently ascends/descends ladders
  • Moves building materials weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Safely operate and drive manual transmission vehicle
  • Work is required indoor and outdoor environments

 
Responsibilities:

  • Maintains and performs routine/emergency repairs to the various types of roofing systems throughout the District
  • Interprets blueprints and schematic diagrams related to roofing systems
  • Inspects, tests and analyzes malfunctions of systems
  • Troubleshoots and repairs roofing systems
  • Oversees major roof replacement projects by others
  • Assists in the schedule of roof related construction projects
  • Oversees roof related construction work and reviews for accuracy the completed work
  • Communicates with Supervisor’s the assessments, coordination of repairs, and work order reports
  • Performs preventative maintenance of all District roofing systems
  • Assists with other trades maintenance activities
  • Other trades maintenance activities include but are not limited to general maintenance such as fence repair, floor tile replacement, ceiling tile replacements, small scale painting, excavation for plumbing line leaks and pest control
