Teacher's Aide is responsible for providing assistance to instructional programs by assisting the teacher in achieving the educational objectives. This can be done through working with individual students or small groups of students to help them achieve the skill levels of the class as a whole. The instructional aide/paraprofessional assists the teacher in providing a well organized, smoothly functioning class environment in which students can take full advantage of the instructional program and available resource materials.
Responsibilities- Provide individualized instruction to each student by promoting interactive learning Create and distribute educational content (notes, summaries, assignments etc.) Assess and record students’ progress and managing behaviors in a positive system. Collaborate with teachers, parents and stakeholders and participate in regular meetings. Develop and enrich professional skills and knowledge by attending seminars, conferences etc.
Work days will be for five days a week, January 2021 through May 2021, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm per the adopted school calendar.
Requirements 60 college credits or passing score on an accepted Paraprofessional Assessment. May consider an applicant in the process of completing a university degree. A willingness to follow the school’s policies and procedures Excellent communicability and interpersonal skills; able to be a team player Bilingual preferable Well-organized and committed Creative and energetic; Strong moral values and discipline Valid Fingerprint Clearance Card with IVP# Knowledge of CPR or willing to get this certification.
