Job Description:

REPORTS TO:  Program Coordinator, Senior - HR

SUMMARY

Responsible for the human resource functions of the Transportation Department.  Coordinates the design, management, and success of the transportation outreach and recruitment program.  Integrates an efficient and effective sourcing campaign, tracks application metrics, hiring methods and practices using effective recruitment strategies. Manage recruitment initiatives to ensure that well-qualified employees are hired in a timely and efficient manner to meet TUSD and departmental needs.   Works alongside the Transportation Leadership Team to ensure adequate staffing levels are consistently maintained.    

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field.

 

Two years of recruiting, human resources, project management, or business management experience.

 

Excellent customer service skills.

 

Knowledge and ability to use word processing, database and spreadsheet programs, standard and specialized software, and internet research.

 

Verbal & written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions.  

 

Any equivalent combination of experience, training, or education.

 

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

Experience in student transportation or school district operations.

 

Knowledge and experience with online recruitment platforms, and in person recruitment events.

 

Strong data analysis experience.

 

Knowledge of applicable state and federal laws and regulations.

 

Working knowledge of HRIS or hiring of ERP systems such Infinite Visions, TimeClock Plus, TalentED, etc.

 

Bilingual.

 

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRE

FBI fingerprint background check

 

Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.
