Job Description:

General Teaching Duties:

1. Intellectual Development: Stimulates a desire to learn.  Promotes critical thinking and fosters creativity.

2. Physical and Emotional Development:  Promotes physical and mental health to facilitate the learning process and bring about maximum student development.

3. Character Development: Helps develop governing forces within students so that they may become constructive members of a free democratic society.

4. Classroom Organization: Organizes the classroom to promote the maximum growth of the individual student.

5.  Techniques of Instruction: Provides for each student's interests, needs and abilities, applying instructional techniques that encourage learning commensurate with each student's potential.

6. Evaluation of Students: Measures each student's development and reports each student's growth and achievement.

7. Professional Preparation Growth and Attitudes: Works for the improvement of the quality of teaching.  Maintain ethical standards in professional relationships and work for the improvement of the profession.

8. School-Wide and System-Wide Effectiveness:  Helps maintain and improve the day-to-day operation of the school stem.

9. Public Relations Promotes intelligent public understanding of the school in all aspects of its operation.
