Salary Range:

$70,000.00 - $90,000.00 USD annually

The Assistant Principal assists the Principal in the administrative and instructional leadership of the school. At the direction of the Principal, the Assistant Principal shares responsibility for all aspects of the site including implementation of an innovative instructional program, facilities operation and maintenance, school/community relations and the development, utilization and evaluation of staff and faculty and administering student discipline.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s Degree or relevant experience in school leadership 
  • Three (3) years successful teaching experience
  • Arizona Principal Certification, required
  • Bilingual, preferred.
  • Previous experience with blended learning, preferred.
  • Active Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS) issued IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
  • Any equivalent combination of experience, training and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist the Principal in administrative and instructional leadership of the School.
  • Communicate and implement the ASU Prep philosophy and vision with the school and community.
  • Assist in recruitment, screening and selection of personnel assigned to the school.
  • Assist in administering the student discipline program at the school.
  • Assist in the analysis of all data associated with students and parents (test results, on-going progress monitoring, parent satisfaction, discipline infractions, absences, tardiness, etc.)
  • Utilize and analyze data to assist in developing and monitoring a school plan and the educational goals.
  • Assist Principal with monitoring instruction through review of lesson plans, instructional delivery, feedback to staff on instructional strategies and conducting formal evaluations.
  • Ensure the appropriate use of technology and integration with the teaching/learning process.
  • Evaluate faculty and staff using the appropriate instruments.
  • Assist the Principal in ensuring effective professional development for staff reflecting the various innovations as well as effective teaching strategies.
  • Effectively communicate student progress to all appropriate stakeholders.
  • Communicate on a regular basis with school staff regarding University-led innovations.
  • Assist Principal with oversight of the school safety plan, assuring proper maintenance and security.
  • Provide leadership for the school’s parent, student and school-connected organizations.
  • Develop and maintain a communication system with parents and staff.
  • Evaluate non-instructional staff members as assigned.
  • Attend and participate in all pertinent meetings and programs associated with the school.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal.
  • Provide leadership and oversight of the school’s athletic program to include: recruiting and hiring external coaches and ensuring compliance with all Network athletics policies and procedures.
  • Ensure the team is meeting goals related to developing new programs and delivering on existing goals to improve achievement and increased use of instructional technology at all levels.
  • Deliver highest customer satisfaction and customer retention through continual evaluation of Digital Learning Program effectiveness and monitoring student success.
  • Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.

TRAVEL: 

Occasional travel may be required for site visits, meetings, trainings and/or conferences. Locations may vary and may require overnight stays.
