Job Description:

Mingus Union School District Cottonwood, Arizona is now seeking to hire a Career and Technology Teacher in our Welding program at Mingus Union High School.
 
Under the direction of the Principal, the CTE Welding Instructor will supervise and instruct students in the career field of welding; establish and maintain an orderly, safe, and well-disciplined classroom learning environment, to facilitate the achievement of career and academic goals and to perform other job-related duties as assigned.
 
Possess a valid Arizona CTE teaching credential or be eligible to acquire one. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Ability to pass the background check requirements of the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
 
Demonstrated knowledge of arc weld (flat, vertical, horizontal, and overhead) using different types of electrodes, TIG weld (aluminum, stainless steel, mild steel, chrome moly steel and pipe), MIG weld, inner shield weld and resistance weld, perform metal shaping and bending, oxy-acetylene cut up to 1/4” plate metal, and oxyacetylene gas weld. 
 
Cottonwood is located ninety miles north of Phoenix in the Verde Valley and 17 miles west of Sedona.  The population is 14,000 with 1,250 students 9-12.
