Job Description:

Desert Heights Charter Schools have a long history of providing high quality education to all our students in a fun, collaborative environment. We are currently seeking a Speech and Language Pathologist to work as part of our Special Education Team providing direct speech services for students with communication disabilities from Kindergarten to 12th Grade. 

 Primary Responsibilities:

• Complete screenings and administer appropriate assessments to students in compliance with state and federal guidelines.
• In collaboration with the educational team, develop and implement therapeutic activities to support educational needs as they relate to speech, voice, and language impairments.
• Work collaboratively as part of an educational team.
• Provide support and information to parents regarding the communication needs of their students.
• Provide in-service education to classroom teachers and other school staff.
• Maintain records and monitor progress for students receiving speech and language services.
• Conduct Multi-Disciplinary Evaluation Team Meetings, Individualized Education Plan meetings, or parent conferences as appropriate.
• Attend campus or departmental team meetings.

Job Requirements:

• Must have an IVP fingerprint clearance card.
• Must meet the Arizona Department of Education certification requirements.
• Master's degree (M.A./M.S.) required, CCC, CFY supervision available.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• Strong ability to problem-solving and problem analysis; critical thinking skills

• Detail-oriented and ability to maintain data confidentially
